Job Title: Entertainment Law Intern
Job Description: The Entertainment Law Intern will provide administrative and paralegal support to entertainment lawyer, Gary A. Watson. Gary's practice covers all aspects of entertainment law, including film, television, theater and music (see below for the biography and resume for Gary A. Watson, Esq.). The Intern will have exposure to the creative, business and legal aspects of the entertainment industry. The Intern's responsibilities will include such administrative and paralegal support as answering phones, managing calls, managing calendar, drafting e-mail, correspondence and documents, word processing, creating spread sheets, billing and collections, ordering supplies and maintaining files.
Those who apply for the Entertainment Law Intern position should be mature, responsible, self motivated, hard working, detail oriented, tech savvy, personable and able to work under the pressure of the demands of deadlines and a heavy work load. Applicants should type 60 words per minute or more and have strong proofreading skills. Applicants should have experience with, and ideally a strong working knowledge of, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Applicants should have excellent phone skills. Experience in billing and collections is preferred, but not essential. Applicants should posses the ability to learn quickly and with a minimal amount of training.
Salary: The Entertainment Law Internship is voluntary and unpaid, but reasonable help will be given to those in school who seek school credit.
